Andrew Martz

An active teacher and performer, Mr. Andrew Martz maintains a large private studio of
saxophonists in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and teaches weekly masterclasses for the
saxophone sections at Keller High School (Keller, TX) and Highland Park High School
(Dallas, TX).


Mr. Martz currently serves as the baritone saxophonist with the Lone Star Wind
Orchestra, the Lone Star Saxophone Quartet and has performed extensively throughout
the Dallas-Fort Worth region and the United States, including international performances
in Canada, Ireland, Germany and Austria. While performing is an integral part of his
career, Mr. Martz’s strong pedagogical practices and successes as an educator shape his
everyday life. Mr. Andrew Martz holds degrees from University of North Texas and
Bluffton University (Bluffton, OH). Throughout his years of study, he has worked with
world-renowned concert saxophonists, Eric Nestler, Timothy McAllister and Adam
Schattschnieder, while also receiving instruction from Eugene Rousseau, John Sampen,
Chien-Kwan Lin and Debra Richtmeyer.
