Staff Members (or "Staffers") are the backbone of our organzation. Staffers also serve as camp counselor to their quartet, meeting their various needs throughout the week. *must have a completed undergraduate degree*
Camp Interns are college students interested in music education or plan on working with students in some capacity. Interns will work closely with one of our experienced staffers, who will mentor them throughout the week as they prepare a quartet for the camp concert. completed degree. *must have a completed high school degree*
Our Philosophy: Connect. Play. Serve.
YSI staff members prioritize building positive and meaningful relationships with students and staff. They seek opportunities to help students make connections to the larger saxophone community.
YSI staff members represent the highest caliber of musicianship among young saxophonists in today’s music community, performing throughout camp week to inspire students to greater heights. They also “play” with the students, actively engaging in the various fun activities that happen during the week; YSI staff members enjoy working with and being around students of all ages.
YSI staff members aim to serve their students and give them a musical, educational, and fun summer camp experience. What we do, we do for them. YSI staff members are servant leaders who value the needs of others and helping their students achieve their goals.
